A journey of thousands miles begins with a single step ( so said Confucius). I'm someone who took the company voluntary retirement plan and decided to start a biz venture - I used to work for a few oilfield services companies, mainly doing oil exploration or what's called seismic surveys. I enjoy farming and agriculture, I've started building 10 fish ponds to start my small step of entrepreneurship. You can see pictures my ponds below. I like the place so much because it's so quiet and peaceful. There's a clean river that originates from the hilly area nearby and of course the water is cold and clean.

The construction is slightly delayed because it's been raining on some days. The guys who built the ponds were my childhood friends and it's good because they didn't mind doing extra work voluntarily...no extra charge. I had promised them a bbq after everything is completed.
In every business, marketing is the toughest challenge. My plan is to sell the product myself at the markets and also will be checking out the hypermarket like Tesco or Giant. Will see...
I'm hoping to start filling my ponds with fish by end of May 2010.
For now I'm just happy that at least I can breed whatever kinds of fish that I like and I'm doing what I enjoy most. InsyaAllah.
